A residential creative writing course which aim to challenge, inspire and transform your writing.

A week-long residency is held in the beautiful and idyllic Lazio region of Italy. Home to the capital city, Rome, sagra delle words takes place in OZU, a residential cultural centre close to Monteleone Sabino.
Sagra delle words provides a nurturing environment where both newcomers and experienced writers can write and expand their craft. With expert tuition and the support and encouragement of a writing community, all our participants grow through the experience of collective enthusiasm and the power of the word.
This is your chance to escape from everything that prevents you from writing. Run away and indulge your inner writer as you enjoy the time and space to shape your ideas into that story, or a poem, or a three hundred page novel that you've been itching to write. Through daily workshops and one to one consultations, we will aim to give you the skills and confidence needed to take your writing further. Suitable for beginners as well as experienced writers. Because you're worth it.
The all-inclusive price for accommodation, transfer, tuition is 465 Euro.

Accommodation is provided in OZU, a cultural and art center of 1.250 square metres, based in an ex candy factory.
The building has been restored and equipped for its new needs, becoming a multifunctional and versatile cultural space, so please, don't expect a "standard" place!
Partecipants will share our dorm, a large and light room arranged with bunk beds and curtains to ensure some privacy.
Toilet/bathroom is in common as well.
Meals. Lunches and dinners are freshly prepared each day. All food, vegetarian or not is prepared mainly with local organic products. Breakfast is organized as a self service table, with tea, coffe, milk, fruit juice, bread, cereals, butter, jam, sugar, yougurt, fruit, bisquits.
PROGRAM.
Sunday 3
arriving day.
Participants arrive during all the day. We will arrange different picking up points in Fara Sabina station (for people travelling by train, or by plain landing in Fiumicino airport) and in Ciampino airport. The exact timing will be defined accordingly to landing times of guests.
Dinner will be served at 20.00
Monday 4 - Tusday 5 - Thursday 7 - Friday 8

Reading and sharing. Meals are not only eating food, but mostly sharing experiences. We will combine the evening session of "readings and sharing" with dinner time having absolutely Italian style evenings around the table.
Wednesday 6
Excursion to Rome.
We will spend one full day in Rome, walking in the heart of the city among the most famous roman monuments, learning about the history and curiosities of the city and tasting the best (according to us) ice cream of the world!
Transportation from OZU to the centre of Rome is provided by private bus and is included in the price of the workshop. Tickets of public transport in the city are included as well, while any other cost (such as food in Rome, museum tickets, etc) is in charge to each participant.
Saturday 9
A day in the nature.
We will spend one day in the authentic and uncontaminated nature, of Sabina region, visiting Turano lake and it's beutiful villages, and picking cherries or other wild vegetables. All food and transportation during the day are inclused in the price.
Sunday 10
Leaving day.
We will take participants to Fara Sabina station (for people travelling by train, or by plain landing in Fiumicino airport) or in Ciampino airport accordingly to their flighs schedule.

We will arrange different picking up points in Fara Sabina Station and in Ciampino airport. The exact timing will be defined accordingly to landing times of guests.
People landing in Fiumicino airport have to take a train to Fara Sabina station, where they will find a car waiting for them. Trains to Fara Sabina are leaving inside the airport.
People landing in Ciampino airport will find a car waiting for them.
People travelling by train have to reach Fara Sabina station, where they will find a car waiting for them. Trains to Fara Sabina station are leaving from Tiburtina station in Rome.
